God Makes Everything

Genesis 1-2

In the beginning, God made the whole world, and it was very good!

In the Beginning

Long, long ago, before there was anything at all, there was God. Everything was dark and empty. Then God said, "Let there be light!" And there was light!

Sky, Sea, and Land

God made the big blue sky. He gathered the water into seas and made dry land appear. Then he filled the land with trees, flowers, and plants of every kind.

Sun, Moon, and Stars

God put the bright sun in the sky for the day, and the moon and twinkling stars for the night.

Fish, Birds, and Animals

God filled the seas with fish and whales. He filled the sky with birds. He made lions, elephants, bunnies, and every kind of animal!

People!

Then God made people, Adam and Eve, to be his friends. He made them in his own image. God looked at everything he had made, and it was very good!

A Day of Rest

On the seventh day, God rested. He blessed that day and made it special.

“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.”
Genesis 1:1

God made everything, and he made you too! You are special to him.
